“Yessir. Just sitting by the phone in case you called. Didn’t want to make you wait for an entire ring. I know you’re busy.”
“Very thoughtful Stevie. You’ll make something of yourself one of these days, heh heh. Mind you, Prime Minister of Canada is pretty good start. Now, did you refer to those Liberals as anti- semites?”
“Yes. It was in all the papers. Didn’t you see the articles?”
“Don’t read the papers. Truth be known, don’t know how. Missed that part in college. Daddy has people telling me what’s going on. Did your guy drop a promise of tax cuts?”
“Yes.”
“Good. It’s good to start planting those seeds early Stevie, heh heh.”
“I don’t know how we’ll deliver but I followed your instructions.”
“Deliver? Who said anything about delivering? Those are little nuggets that might make the difference to your average Joe Canadian in the voting booth come election time. After you get re-elected you pretend you never said it. If the opposition gives you static, blame them!”
“And if we don’t get elected?”
“Then you bring it up everyday…blame the opposition.”
“I just heard about the newest threat you’re facing?”
“What Korea?”
“No.”
“Chavez?”
“No.”
“Iraq?”
“No.”
“Bin Laden?”
“No.”
“The Hezbollah?”
“No.”
“The Tamil Tigers?”

“Dagnabbit Stevie, I don’t have time for this. What threat?”
“Barbara Streisand.”
“She’s after us too?”
“Yes.”
